I bought an ecm from another company that wanted a five star review before it even shipped. I thought that was odd, but wouldn’t leave a review without the product. The other company is a little cheaper. I received the other company’s ecm and when I installed it, there were multiple codes that the truck didn’t have before. Turns out that one of the five bolt references was only putting out around three volts. Then I read the other company’s policies. They wanted a couple hundred dollar restocking fee and an $89 programming fee. They said they’d waive the restocking fee but would charge for the programming. I was livid, but kept my cool and explained that if I was to charge my customers for my mistakes, I wouldn’t be in business. I also reminded them that I hadn’t left a review yet. They ended up giving me all my money back, but their company and policies are a bad joke. No wonder they want a review before you get your faulty product and get charged fees for nothing but lost time and headaches. After this debacle, I looked to see if I could find a bbb accredited company. GoEcm has great ratings and when you read their policies, it is obvious that they have confidence in their products. Great experience with this company and will do business with them in the future! The ecm was more expensive but it works. Worth every cent more.
